Daniel’s work is often described as organised and methodic with a deep sense of sonic projections which acts as support for the artist involved. His sensitivity towards the artist vision guides his decision making to find the right balance between comfortability and compromising.

Bio

Daniel Somaroo Acuña (born 1995) is a versatile Venezuelan musician, excelling as a double bassist, electric bassist, composer, producer, sound designer, and recording and mixing engineer. His early exposure to music within his family nurtured his passion for sound, allowing him to explore a variety of musical avenues, including singing, Latin percussion, and ultimately, double bass.

After completing his high school education at Colegio Emil Friedman, Daniel pursued further studies in Basel, Switzerland. Under the tutelage of renowned mentors like Banz Oester, Larry Grenadier, Jeff Ballard, Guillermo Klein, and Aydin Esen, he earned his Bachelor's degree in music.

Fueled by a thirst for knowledge, Daniel continued his education by completing a Master's degree in Producing/Performance, guided by Daniel Dettwiler and Patrik Zosso, as well as a Master's degree in Pedagogic Studies, achieving exceptional results. He is currently self-employed and maintains an active presence in the music scene.

Daniel's multifaceted skills enable him to collaborate with a diverse range of bands, projects, and artists in various capacities, including composing, performing, sound engineering, and visual projections. His extensive expertise makes him a valuable and adaptable asset to any musical project.
